I am a natural, instinctive leader. I was one of those kids who always organized and led school projects. During my time in sales I learned to gauge and overcome resistance from people and what I realized is that most of the time the resistance was caused by fear and fear was caused by lack of understanding. 

Over the next 20 years I developed the ability to pinpoint the root cause of resistance and gently work through the fear by delivering knowledge in a way that teaches people without them realizing they have been taught. This causes increased self confidence and the resumption of forward action. I find this skill incredibly helpful in c-suite or L1 meetings where I need to bridge understanding without anyone actually noticing that I am providing the foundation of knowledge that the need in order to confidently make good decisions about whatever subject I am presenting.

As a manager and team leader I am an enthusiastic cheerleader. I know what it is like to be incredibly passionate and dedicated only to have your heart broken by poor leadership and I strive to make sure that my team does not experience that. I create a culture of asking for help and asking questions and I turn learning into a positive experience. I am a firm believer of protecting my employees and their time and I will stand up for them and give them the freedom to enforce boundaries to protect their morale and productivity.
